Lee Christiansen is the painter’s painter. His lush brush strokes, rich wet layers of glazed color, and fearless use of large scale format remind us what we love about paint and why we love to paint. His themes are humble and follow a long tradition of landscape painting, yet the textures and movement in his compositions capture the power and vitality of a springtime thunderstorm or the layers of deep geologic time laid across the hills of high desert country. Lee continues to paint from his studio in Silverton, Oregon.
